Building Your Very Own Log Cabin

Log cabins were introduced in the 1700s in North America. The planning of log cabins in America was brought along by the Homestead Act implemented in 1862 where the house should also have one glass window.

It is made from giant logs punctiliously attached to each other to form a powerful house. Today , log cabins are more developed and have been a choice of home for many folks. They are now built with similar comforts of regular houses. Si (more…)

Creating Your Log Cabin Plans

Log cabins used to be known as the poor man’s house because of its simplicity both in terms of the materials used and the building process. The early American settlers and pilgrims built log cabins by availing of the available material in the woodland where they settled. The construction process was so simple then, there was no need for carpentry tools and even nails, except for the ever-useful hatchet.
